Personal Statement
I am an enthusiastic high school junior with a strong focus on leadership, volunteerism, entrepreneurship, and athletics. I was introduced to the 400m hurdles when my coach unexpectedly signed me up. After performing reasonably well my first time, I continued with it. Dedicating time to technique, speed, and endurance I have built up a roster of strong times. As the Vice President of the Interact Club, I lead impactful community service initiatives and most recently volunteered at CHOW, a local food bank. I am passionate about technology and artificial intelligence and am working with the Small Business Association to cultivate a computer startup business with online marketing. Track has become something I would never have expected to be so important in my life. Something that I never would have expected to be dedicating so much time to.
