2016 HighlightsPersonal Statement
Growing up as a young student athlete, football was my primary sport until I noticed that I would need to get faster to have an edge over my competition. This would eventually lead to me running track and the rest is history. I have been running track ever since I was 8 years old and I have learned several useful ways to increase my speed, endurance, and stamina. The hunger to come back to the sport I love after a minor injury motivated me to train harder so that I wouldn’t fall behind my competition.
The best part about playing sports to me is recognition of my hard work. Now I am an upcoming junior in high school and I am more motivated than ever to be who I want to be academically and athletically. I thrive by incorporating both my academics and athletics to develop myself into the successful, young man.
