Hi! My name is Turner Knox and I am currently a junior at Hendersonville High school. I have been running cross country for the last 6 years and I have done and plan to continue to do track and field since freshman year and swim since sophomore year. Originally when I began doing cross country in the sixth grade I planned on just doing it for conditioning for the later soccer season. However in the years that followed I began to love running even more than soccer and put my main focus into that. By my 8th grade year I had gotten 1st place in all of my races and set a personal best time of 11:27 for 2 miles and that was when I knew I wanted to continue running my whole life. Since then I have made second on my team freshman year and first on my team in sophomore and first so far in junior year. Running brings me so much joy because of the freedom to move as freely and as fast as I want. Nothing feels better than crossing that finish line and I live for it. Keeping up with school hasn’t been easy but I’ve always managed to pull through and keep pushing myself in academics and athletics
