My goal is to throw javelin in college and graduate with a degree. I first saw the javelin in 2012 when I was watching the Olympics. This sparked an interest in the sport and I wanted to try it when I started high school. I like that you always have to produce when throwing the javelin and that you can change one thing and improve your throw. I believe I have a good work ethic. My family home was flooded in the 2011 Souris River Flood. The basement and first floor were under water. My family was displaced for 10 weeks and we had to rebuild our home. This was a real life lesson in work ethics. I helped my family rebuild our home and we live in it today.
I feel I am a well rounded person. I have worked on a ranch for three years and competed in Ranch Rodeo. I am a three year varsity goalie for my high school hockey team. I officiate youth hockey, and volunteer with Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports, sled Hockey for children with disabilities. I play drums and piano and I am involved in band, FFA, FBLA, and Student Council.
