To Whom It May Concern:
I first want to thank you for your time and interest in my profile.
My teachers and coaches often tell me how coachable I am, and I love to learn new things and pride myself in being open minded and patient. I grew up in a household with a dad who coaches multiple sports (for over 3 decades), primarily basketball, at almost every level. Since I can remember, I have heard him talk about the importance of hard work, sportsmanship, respect and teamwork both on and off the field or court.
My dad is a motivator and I see what athletics has done for him in his career and the way he motivates all his employees towards a common goal! I like to be inspired, and I often watch youtube videos, like Dave Wottle's amazing 800M come from behind Olympic performance from the 70's
I work extremely hard in school and I realize that as I head into 11th grade I have to get A's in all my courses to have more choices in Colleges and Universities. I have told my parents I will do what it takes and am open to tutoring should I feel I need the extra help to keep my GPA up.
My coaches tell me I have not stopped growing and they keep me grounded, telling me I have not come close to my potential performances on the track. They say they rarely see a 'turnover' like mine and they do not want me peaking now, which is why they have agreed to pull me out of middle distance and have me sprinting. As well we just started weight training, goal is to build speed and agility, I am told endurance can be developed when I am older.
I am blessed and lucky that athletics and sport have come natural to me thus far, and I look forward to really focusing on training to get to a new level and beyond.
Thank you again for your time,
Camden Springer
