Personal Statement
My name is Rodney Washington and I have been running track since 5th grade. I have come to really enjoy the discipline, hard work, and dedication required to become a successful athlete. I also feel like the sport has taught me many valuable life lessons.
Some of my biggest strengths are hard-work and leadership. I’ve experienced setbacks but I‘ve learned to become a problem solver and to be optimistic in any circumstance. I want to take my competitive spirit to the next level and see what I’m really capable of doing. Lastly, there is no better way of doing that than to be a part of a team with a culture that holds the same values as I do.
