Hi, my name is Aidan Groves, and I attend Fairbanks High School in Plain City, Ohio. I currently hold a personal best of 4:59:23 in the mile but intend to improve on that time to 4:10:00 or better by my senior year. My passion for track and field began in the seventh grade as a strength and conditioning activity to help me to improve my abilities on the football field and the wrestling mat. I started as a sprinter but soon found that I was a natural distance runner. In the eighth grade, I concentrated my efforts towards distance and eventually narrowed it down to my favorite race, the mile.
After high school, I intend to study Criminology or Criminal Justice and pursue a career as a police officer or FBI agent.
I have a very interesting home life outside of school and sports. My family is very passionate and involved in animal rescue, helping homeless dogs and cats find homes. I attend many adoption events, fundraisers, and home visits. I also spend a lot of time with our foster dogs feeding, walking and socializing them in order to prepare them for their forever homes.
