I am a very competitive person when it comes to sports, grades, or any competition. Over the years I haven't had a good competitive coach to really push me, so I had to do that on my own. I come from a very small school so all of our coaches are either teachers or parents. They give me the workout, I do it. I don't cheat things, because I'm only cheating myself. I stuck to my workouts and even worked overtime trying to perfect my pace since I had no one to help me. It showed too, I PR every meet. Even if I had a little injury like a tweaked knee, I took care of my body and worked through it. I love to see improvement to the extent that it is satisfying to me. Schooling and grades are very important to me. I've had a couple of college-level classes that I struggled to maintain an A, but I knew what I could do to get better so I studied harder. I take advice, I love listening to people with experience. My coach calls me a sponge because of how well I listen, and it's up to me to use that knowledge to better myself. Overall, I am very excited for the future. With a little bit of guidance,I feel like I can do great things.
