Shawn Ruff '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Shawn Ruff. I'm a Senior in high school and run cross country and track. I've been running for two years with times of 10:24 in the 3200m, 800m 2:06, 4:40 in the 1600m. My 5k is a 18:20 but I was sick this season.

In class I'm a hard worker my freshmen year to sophomore year was not my best. I didn't focus on anything. But when I gave my life to Christ I'm always ready to learn more and work hard because I'm forgiven.

Running is important to me, it makes feel close God and something to work hard for. Not scared of a challenge to come my way new opportunities are great ways to be stronger. Either in class, public, or athletics (Romans 1:16). 

I'm looking to run at a collage level of track and cross country. With the degree I'm looking for which is youth ministry or Sports ministry. Love having a competition it gives me something to work for and of course being salt and light while doing it. 

Looking for a college and coach to help and teach me to become the best runner i can be with a great atmosphere. But importantly come close together as family and achieve goals. For college level athletes I’m up for whatever it takes. I know that hard work is real and we reap what we sow.
