Devonte Scarrow '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Devonte Scarrow and I am a committed and determined track athlete from Guelph, Ontario. As an athlete and student my focus is to set my goals to always aim for better than my best. In 2018 I joined the Royal City Track Club ( previously Speedriver Track and Field Club) and have continued to work with my coach to refine my technique and evolve capabilities. Currently I am a strong competitor in the 100m, 200m and 400m but consider myself adaptable and coachable so I can make an impact wherever needed.

I consider myself to be effective with time management and I maintain a balanced focus on education, employment and consistent training. Leadership and achieving goals are a large part of who I am. At the age of 14 I acquired my Bronze Cross, in Grade 9 I was voted captain of our high school track and field team and was awarded Junior Athlete of the Year.

It is my goal to compete at the collegiate level and I have an interest in math and sciences. I believe my desire to succeed and my commitment to facing challenges head-on brings a positive energy to a team environment.

My limits are undefined and I am eager to continue my journey to my full potential.
