Josiah Matende '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi there,

My name is Josiah Matende and I am a student at Redeemer Christian High School, expected to graduate in June of 2020. My aspirations for college are to find an institution that has a major in the field of health studies and that will eventually assist my goal of becoming a general physician or physical therapist. In terms of athletics, I am hardworking and diligent in my training, despite facing two injuries during my high school career that briefly affected my progress. I continue to train for the following events; 100m, 200m, 400m and long jump. In terms of academics, I intend to take the SAT and ACT as soon as they are available. The exact dates on which I will be writing the tests are uncertain due to issues related to COVID-19, which caused SAT and ACT locations in my region to temporarily close service to the public. The spread of the virus briefly impacted my grade point average since my resources to participate in online class activities were dysfunctional. Nonetheless, I continue to put forward every effort possible to bring up my average.
