My name is Nicholas Young and I am a grade 11 student from St. Francis Catholic Secondary School in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.
My most recent times listed in my profile rank me 4th in Canada for the 800m (U18) and 9th in the 1500m (U18). In 2016, I won gold in the 800m at the Ontario Federation of Schools Athletic Association (OFSAA) track and came 6th in the 1500m. In grade 10 cross country at OFSAA, I placed 8th overall. As a first year senior this year, I made it to OFSAA for both the 800m and 1500m again, and qualified for the final in the 800m, placing 7th overall in Ontario.
My academic success is also very important to me. I have sustained a 95% average so far in all academic courses and I am also on my high school Student Council. I'm currently studying for the SAT which I will be writing this coming fall.
My goal is to attend a college/university that offers strong athletic/academic programs and can help me excel at the highest level possible in both those areas.
