Hello, I am David Egete, a 5'5, 140lbs multi-sport athlete. First of all, despite my under average height, my shortness should instead be viewed as character development and part of the plot. I understand short guys have a tougher time finding the love of their lives, but they will always find it through self-focus and respect, which is the same mindset towards a university team. If I continue improving my abilities, I will eventually find the team meant for me.
Anyways... I have always aspired to be an athlete by participating in several sports, such as soccer, basketball, and volleyball. I am strictly dedicated to being successful in school, and in extracurricular activities. For the past three years, I have participated on my schools' FIRST Robotics Team, 2609, which has taught me many useful skills, such as 3D design, manufacturing, programming, problem solving and teamwork (nerd as you would have guessed). Plus, I joined my local track & field club this past summer to continue pursuing my passion.
My primary assets are resilience and discipline as I consistently desire to apply them to whatever I wish to achieve. Heading into my senior year, my ambitions are to continue improving my athletic capabilities in hopes of running for a university team and to maintain my grades to pursue engineering.
Have a great day!
