There's a quote that I love from Eric Liddell that resonates with me.
“I believe God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast! And when I run I feel his pleasure.” ― Eric Liddell
My purpose is to honor God in all I do, in the class room, on the field and in life. I would like to contribute the talents God has given me academically by becoming an Architectural Engineer that helps build His kingdom AND I want to run fast for Him too!!!
I love XC and Track because nothing is handed to you. I must work for it, everyday! If I'm not putting in the time to get better, someone else is. I enjoy putting in the time, the miles, the grind and while doing that - having fun! You can see the results of the effort I've put in by looking at where I started as a freshman who had never run a 5k before (21:36) to where I am now in my senior season (16:13). I am still learning and getting better everyday both on the field, in the classroom and in life.
If I sound like the type of athlete you want on your team, reach out to me. It also really helps if your school has Engineering and specifically Architectural Engineering as an undergraduate major.
"And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith." Hebrews 12:1b-2a
