I have been running cross country for five years and track for three years now and, since then, I've continued to push myself toward my goal of running at the collegiate level in both sports. Having the opportunity to run at the collegiate level is an aspiration that many athletes dream about, but may not be able to achieve in their careers. If I were given the opportunity to run in college, it would change my life forever.
I'm a hard worker, train year-round, and when I have a goal in my mind, I push myself to my very limits to make sure that I not only reach it, but obliterate it. I am a team leader and lead by example, helping others by not only showing them how they can improve, but actually showing them what they can achieve if they put their mind and heart into it. I'm very coachable and work hard to perform at my very best, striving to be the hardest-working athlete on the track, course, and in the weight room.
Throughout school, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA from seventh grade to present-day at Glide High School. I study hard and strive to learn anything and everything about what I'm being taught. I volunteer for almost everything I can, and I'm always looking to help others in my community. I perform community service quite frequently, such as being a cabin group leader for a sixth-grade outdoor school, setting up for local events, and much more. I'm also currently a member of the National Honor Society, which displays and puts my integrity to the test.
I wish to attend a college where I'm able to push myself in the classroom, as well as on the track. A massive goal of mine, alongside running at the collegiate level, is to obtain my bachelor's degree in biology. After this, I plan on taking the MCAT to hopefully be accepted into medical school, where I will study for my doctorate in neuroscience. Upon graduating medical school, I currently plan on becoming a pediatric neurosurgeon to help kids around the country. I'm open to every opportunity I'm given and want to find the college that best suits my athletic and academic careers.
