My name is David Huggins and I am a senior captain on both the varsity XC and Track teams at South Salem High School. My goal is to run in college for both XC and Track, but more importantly- become a better person and student as student is first in student-athlete. I earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts, on February 12, 2020. My journey in Scouting, and ultimately my achievement of Eagle, has helped me to become a better communicator and develop both the mental and physical toughness to push through any obstacle in my way. Scouting has not been the only thing playing role in my development because running has helped me to become a better competitor, team person, and encourager. Lastly, I has also made me more coachable, responsible, and trustworthy. My love for running started in 5th grade and is a facet to allow me to portray my personality which has helped me to improve through the years.
