Hello. My name is Zoey, and I have a dream to be a doctor. I would love to go to a college that matches my academic capabilities, as well as athletic capabilities, and myself as a person. All throughout high school I have taken Pre-International Baccalaureate courses, and intend on taking International Baccalaureate classes throughout the remainder. I have received a 4.0 so far. This I can largely account due to my good work ethic and perseverance. To me, having a good work ethic is always completing homework and assignments before they are due and in a timely manner. It also means balancing my schedule between school, extracurriculars, and athletics. Doing so is not always easy, which is where perseverance comes in. I may not be the absolute best at everything I do, but I always try my hardest to do the best I can do. I would be a good candidate for your cross country and/ or track team because I am a hard worker. I show up to practice on time with a positive attitude and a mindset to improve. Another reason I would be a good candidate is that I am a team player. Being a team player means being committed to your fellow athletes and the team itself. Showing up to practices, supporting others, being flexible and reliable, focusing on team goals, and celebrating your peers' triumphs. Personal improvement is great, but team improvement is better. Being a team player helps ensure that happens. What makes me different from other recruits is that I will not lie about my capabilities. I am not the top of my team, but I can get there with the help of my dedication to running and improvement. I have dreams and goals I am pursuing. They will be hard, but it is something that with a lot of effort, I can tackle. Some more little tidbits about me are that I am the president of South Salem High School's Law Club. This helps me learn and improve leadership capabilities, and refine cooperative interactions with my fellow classmates. Also, I volunteer at the Hospital in my free time. Volunteering has taught me a lot about teamwork and empathy.
Anyways, that's me!
