Personal Statement

My Name is Brody Anderson, I live in Sisters Oregon and attend Sisters high school. This is my 3rd year of track, my interests are 100m,200m, 400m, 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay.  I was a first year Varsity runner that competed at 4A state Championships and placed 3rd in 4x400m. My goals are to win State in 400 my sophomore year, run at state in 4x100, and 4x400. I made it to the Junior Olympics in North Carolina by winning Region 13 in the 400m after only running 400 7 times, ever.  I won meet of Champions in 2019 in 400, won the 4x100 and 2nd in 4x00 the same day. I am  attending summer school now and throughout the 10th, 11th grades to obtain higher learning and better grades. My academic goal is to achieve a 3.2 gpa.

2020 has been a very difficult year so far for many. I am very disappointed that I do not get to run my junior year of high school track. After winning State in 400m at 15 years old, I had a new goal, be a 3 time state champion.
I trained all through the winter to be ready for my opening meet.  Even though I will never get the opportunity to compete my Junior year,  I am still training five days a week, getting my reps in, eating right and buckling down for my senior year.

I am running 100, 200m all out sprints once per week and 400m every other week. My times are looking great so far. I’m faster now than I was last year at state even with no competition and running solo at the track. My best hand timed runs have been 11.3 in 100, 23.10 in 200 and 50.31 in 400m.
