Personal Statement
I've been running competitively since I first joined the track team in 7th grade. I got hooked on the racing aspect of running and was continually driven to run faster each season. Because of this drive to get better with each race, I push myself to practice consistently with the goal of improvement. My goal from the beginning of my running career was always to run in college. As I grow as an athlete and a student the goal has become more clear and obtainable. To me, athletics and academics go hand in hand, and the drive that I feel for running is the same as my drive to do well in school.
