Hello! My name is Nicholas Gershey, and I would first like to thank every coach who considers me for their cross country and track programs. Many may have noticed that stats for my senior year cross country season have not changed. Unfortunately, and I honestly say, that I suffered a stress fracture of my fibula on September 29, 2018 at the Carlisle Invitational. It was a disappointing end to my cross country career at Scranton Preparatory School. However, I did not let it dampen my spirits. It allowed me to help and encourage the younger runners in our program. While I was present for meets and practices, it allowed me the opportunity to take off the appropriate amount of time to allow it to heal. I have since begun my rehabilitation process. I am happy to say that I am back to running my full distance and am feeling great! The track season awaits me and my team. I am looking forward to contributing again. They have encouraged me along the way. They always gave me hope. I feel strong and I feel enthusiastic. I am hoping to end my senior year on a high note! Thank you!
