My name is Chris Meehan, and I am entering the summer before my Senior year. I have run track since the spring of 2008- my 7th grade year. From 2004 until 2011, I participated in wrestling. My first goal with track was to stay in shape for wrestling. In 7th grade, I ran on the distance squad and did not do too well. In 8th grade, my coach moved me to sprints and I instantly flourished. In 9th grade, my first 100 time was 13.5, my first 200 time was 27.3, and my first 400 time was 62.0. In 10th grade, my times dropped into the low 12's and 24's (I did not run the 400). After my 10th grade season, I decided that my heart was set in track, and quit the wrestling team my Junior year. In indoor track I ran on the 4x200 relay and 4x400 relay. In outdoor, I excelled in the 200, placing in many invites and dropping my time to 23.3. My 100 dropped to 11.5 and my 400 dropped to 54.6. I also ran at Penn Relays and PIAA District One Championships for the 4x100. My relay made 1st Team All-League. I have also excelled in the classroom throughout high school. I have been on Honor Roll (Distinguished and First Honors) all throughout my career. Furthermore, I have studied in Honor courses, and AP courses. My goals for the future are to continue my track career at the collegiate level and to continue my education in International Relations.
