On and off the track I work hard every day. That's why I'm salutatorian, and NHS president. In athletics, I had a rough start. I was not the most athletic kid and had to work very hard to get where I'm at. I've been constantly getting better every season. This is because of the support of my teammates, family, and Coach to go out and work hard every day. I went from having a pr of 2:21 to improving to a 2:05 this season. The most satisfying part of working hard is seeing the results pay off whether it's studying for a final or the long months of summer training. In college, I would like to graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering. I would like to add our school has no track. We practice by running on the soccer field or running around our town. My goals this year are to have a 16:30 5k, sub 2:00 800m, win districts in the 800m and run at the state meet.
