What makes me a good candidate for your team?
I believe I am a good candidate for any collegiate level track and field team for several reasons. Firstly, I am very committed to what I do. I will do whatever it takes to make me the best athlete I possibly can be and put out the best effort I can. Secondly, I learn very fast. I started throwing in May of 2017, and in that season I reached the national level where I placed 5th in discus and 12th in shot put without coaching. This goes to show that I learned the sport extremely quickly and put out my best efforts.
What makes me different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics?
I am different from most athletes in regards to athletics, character and academics. In athletics, I may not have been doing it as long but what I have accomplished in that time period is remarkable. Making my Provincial team and placing in top 10 at nationals in two events. Academically, I am one of the top students in my high school. I apply myself completely to my work and try and get the highest marks possible. My transcript can be viewed below. Finally, in character I am a joy to have around. I take things seriously when it is needed to be so but I also have a lot of fun with my team mates on and off the field.
