My name is Kaiden Deck. Running has always been a huge part of my life- I first began running XC in the third grade and never stopped. I wouldn't say that running is jus ta hobby, it is a lifestyle at this point. I work extremely hard every chance I get, whether it is on or off the track- I put in long hours every week training and making sure I'm always at the top of my game. Academics are also very important to me, as is quality schooling. I always strive to work my absolute hardest in school, and it pays off with very high marks. What drives me to be the best athlete I can be every day is the knowledge that I can always be better- no matter how hard I work, I am not perfect; but I can come closer and closer every day. I have been granted the gift and talent of being able to run well, so I want to foster that and help it grow. These ideas have helped push me to great success so far in my life. I truly believe that I can go the distance in the area of XC and track and field- a big goal of mine is to one day be able to compete at an international level, and I am definitely willing to put in all the effort required to make this goal a reality.
