I normally don't write much about myself but to be real with anyone that reads my personal statement my name is Karl Mcdonald im a sophmore at Kingstree Highschool. This is my first year running track my main events are the 400 and 4x8 and the 200. With the 200 being an event I just adopted my PR for the 400 is 52.8 basically a 51. I conditioned for track from august till now I started with jrotc running 3miles everyday then when outdoor season came around I switched to track conditioning. I run a road track with holes dips mud and every 400 up till now i've ran in distance spikes though ive purchased new spikes for lower state which are sprinter spikes. I run a 52 with no block starts though I just started practicing those for lower state as well and I won region for the 400. To be frank im something unknown they never see me coming literally but sooner or later i'll be known. i'll only get faster and I do plan on running AAU track in the summer then afterwards i'll try and apply for nike or new balance outdoors or indoors. What makes me different is that I wasnt born with a golden spoon in my mouth. Most runners have proper equipment proper training meanwhile here I am doing what they do with barely that. If you adopt me or wish to watch my journey by all means join me you might find something you like.
