I’ve been running long distance since I was freshman. In my sophomore year of high school I beat the seniors on the team who have had more experience than me and on that day I wanted Kelly’s fastest runner, no matter the time I would have to sacrafice. After my sophomore year of high school ended I went to Baylor University for an Cross Country and when I left I began to look at long distance running in a new perspective and began to take the sport more seriously with the goal of making that dream I had as a sophomore into reality. My Junior year in cross country I set a school record in the 5k and 3200m in Track.
I’m a dedicated athlete that trains year-round in order to prepared and ahead of my competition for season. I try to be a model for my team as I try to help them reach their own goals as I continue to strive to be a hardworking athlete on the team and I’ve organized fundraisers for our team to raise funds for our team.
Inside the classroom, I’m a dedicated, hardworking student that maintains A’s in all of his class and a high GPA. I’m also a Boy Scout in Troop 1 that has earned the rank of Eagle Scout with 15 palms and 95 merit badges.
I want to attend a college where I can continue put my dedication and hardwork into classroom as well as cross country/track.
