Hello there,
Thank you for taking your time and visiting my NCSA page. My name is Luke Hernandez and I just completed my junior year at Bishop Lynch (BL) High School in Dallas, Texas. I am currently looking for a college and/or university that will help me grow and strive not only in academics, however, a cross country team and track team that seeks to be a high-performance team, as well. In addition, I’m looking for a campus environment that will allow me to grow prosperously from and enjoy throughout my 4 years of college.
While looking for a school that will help me grow in my academics, while I may not be the smartest kid in my class, know that I will work to be the best student I can be. Currently at BL, I have a GPA of 3.2 my future plan is to major in Kinesiology.
I am also very involved with my church and regularly attend Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland, TX and am heavily involved in my youth group. I love being able to participate in mission trips, as well as help serve around my church with Vacation Bible School, Care-Play-Read any other service programs. At Bishop Lynch HS, I will be the captain of the cross-country team for the 2019 season. For my senior year at BL, I was chosen to be a member on the student leadership team, which helps with school tours, school activities, and mentoring new/transfer students. I’m also the representative for new and incoming students that are interested in running cross country/track for BL. In addition, I’m involved with the BLHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes team. I help lead devotionals and love being part of a group of athletes who love to serve God. Aside from school, I hold the rank of Eagle Scout (class of ‘16) and I am a 3rd degree Black Belt.
I am a very hard-working and dedicated athlete when it comes to running. I’m looking for a team for the next four years of my college career, to be a team that is hard-working, focused, and ready to win many races and titles. Throughout my high school career, I’ve grown into a leadership stance, in which I hope to bring to your team. My hopes are to be able to inspire and motivate as many as I can, including myself to perform at their best level possible. Currently, this season, in all of my races, I’ve hit PR’s in Cross-Country, the 1600, the 3200, and the 2000m Steeplechase. My mind is laser focused on my last year of high school and I’m working to improve my PR’s, and to better each of them as my running career progresses.
Thank you for taking time to read this statement, for visiting my page and taking an interest in me. I hope and look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Luke Hernandez
