I am a small-town kid involved in numerous activities in the community—Captain of the football team, member of the varsity basketball team and track and field. With a short track season, I am still able to compete at a high level finishing at the state track meet the last two years. Last season I set a new personal best at 15 feet to win bronze at state, and I am looking to exceed that and jump even higher. Academically I have a 4.0gpa and have excelled in UIL academic contests such as Science (our team finished 3rd in 2A) and Number Sense (our team finished 4th in 2A). I am looking for a good college that has many areas of engineering available for study, and a school that will help me fulfill my competitive desires. I desire to be a collegiate vaulter who is surrounded by highly competitive teammates and coaches that will drive me to be my best. I believe given the opportunity that my work ethic will help set me apart at the next level.
