I am currently a Junior at Rockwall Heath High School in Rockwall, Texas. I played flag football until I was six years old and from there I didn't play again until I was in the 7th grade. I played club basketball, select baseball, and received a blackbelt in Taekwondo before I was 10 years old. I still had a passion to play football and run track. Once in Junior High School my mother allowed me to play football as a Wide Receiver and I joined the track team. I had never run track before nor had a participated in any field sport, like long jump. Our team developed a bond that would lead us to being undefeated in our 7th year and loose one game in 8th grades. Most of these same players, are on my current team at Heath. Our relay team broke school records in the 4 x 100, 4 x 200, 4 x 800. I broke the school long jump record and my personal best both years, but due to COVID protocols, track season ended early. The pandemic had a huge effect on my training and my confidence to be able to move right back into my starting position. I knew in order to get better and be a starter I had to work with a personal trainer in the gym and a wide receiver trainer on the field throughout the summers. I continued to play football and I am currently on the Varsity team, playing wideout wide receiver. I also have run track at Heath, breaking the long jump and 100-meter run in my class, each year my stats are improving. I will be on the Varsity Track Team as well this year. I make all efforts to continue to not only improve my athletic abilities but also my academics grades. I maintain an A/B Honor Roll taking some AP classes and I am a member of the National Honor Society at Rockwall Heath. Outside of school, I love fishing with my family, playing with our pet dog and cat, watching a variety of sports on tv and sometimes attending in person. I work parttime and I volunteer my time with my father, who teaches Financial Literacy, in low-income areas of the city and at my stepfather's place of business.
