I have been running XC since my 9th grade year. It was just to be part of a team before basketball. But at the end of the 2018 season I was having some success and enjoying racing. Because I enjoyed XC so much, I decided to run track in the 2019 season after basketball. I PR’ed every race and ended up winning district in the 3200 and second in 1600. I never felt like I was in racing shape and I have dedicated myself to doing whatever I have to do in order to become an elite runner. I ran a 16:58 5k at the Mt. Pleasant XC Meet September 28,2019. I know I can run a lot faster and will. My goal is to run a 4:20 in 1600 and 9:50 in 3200. By the end of the XC season my goal is to run in the low 16’s in 5k. I am new to running and still learning. I am looking for a program and coach that will push me to see what my limits are and help me to improve. UPDATE: Just competed in our district meet on October 14, 2019. I was the 1st finisher and my team also won district.
