Sports have been a very large part of my life since I was 5 years old.
I have played football, basketball, baseball and ran track. No matter the sport, if there was a ball or running involved I have thrived on the competition and have excelled. However, TRACK is my true passion. I love to set goals and challenge myself, as well as my teammates at the beginning of the seasons.
Leadership, hard work and dedication define everything I do in life. I have always taken as much pride in being a leader as I do with my athleticism. Setting a good example at school and in the community, is very important to me.
I do whatever is necessary to reach my full potential as a student athlete and a leader. Doing so allows me to set a positive example and be there for my teammates when they need me most. My approach allows me to perform at 100% on and off the track.
I have ran track since Jr. High School and made the varsity track team as a freshman. I qualified for regionals and qualified for the Texas Relays running the 4x400 relay. I was one of only two freshmen to qualify out of 384 qualifiers in that event. Qualifying for the Texas Relays was my goal at the beginning of track season.
My sophomore year, I won district in the 200m, 4x400 relay and the 4x100 relay. We also place second place at regionals for the 4x100 relay and then went to State and placed 6th at State. We had an amazing track year.
I have also done club Track for the past 2 years and have a private track coach that I work with 3 times a week. We went to AAU nationals in Florida where I qualified for finals in all events. 100m 200m 400m and the 4x400 relay. That was an amazing experience.
I have also participated in indoor track meets in the year 2020. I feel You must work hard to see results. Success only comes from dedication and devotion.
I take immense pride in being a student athlete and team leader. I prepare for and expect success. I expect to win. Winning is an attitude. Winning is part of who I am. Challenging work is also something I push in all my teammates.
Given the opportunity to continue toward my goal of achieving excellence both on and off the track and classroom would be an amazing experience.
