My name is Andrew Gilreath. I attend Elkins High-Fort BendISD in Sugar Land, TX. During my Freshman and Sophomore years, I played basketball, but then changed my focus to track and field during the summer after my sophomore year. My father, brother, and cousin have all competed at the collegiate level. I started out with the long jump and won the 2017 AAU Junior Olympic 15-16y LJ Championship. My PR for the LJ is 22'10.75''. This year I placed my focus on the 60m indoor and 100m outdoor. I qualified in the 2018 New Balance Nationals Indoor 60m Semi-Finals with a PR of 6.91-FAT. My PR for the 100m is a 10.50-FAT so far. Although I am just starting out in the sprints and long jump, I have tremendous potential and room for growth. I know that I will go far in track and field.
My current GPA is 92.13 on the 100 scale, and I made a 1230 out of 1600 on SAT. I am interested in an engineering/technology major.
