I am a excellent candidate for the coaches teams. I have a high ceiling for growth still, I have just begun! I will work to achieve my goals and once I make a commitment you can hold me to it. I don't quit when it gets hard, I'll thrive and do my best. Since I was eight, I have had the goal of being apart of the Marine Core as an officer. Everything I have done since has been to further this goal. I wish to pursue Cross Country and fulfill this goal through the various avenues that it may open. Although my goal is to join the military, over just the first Cross Country season I have been apart of, I have grown to love running and it has made me realize I can do whatever I believe possible. Originally being a swimmer I only joined the Cross Country team because my coach headed it and found I had a talent. I joined the team two days before the first meet and ran a 22.50 placing me 3rd for the JV team. By the end of the season I had improved to 19:14 and moved to the Varsity team. I myself was amazed I could achieve this and I hope to reach my goal of 16.30 by next Cross Country season. My current GPA is a 3.5. I just started running in my junior year and am now entering into my senior year as team captain for Varsity Cross Country I love to lead and lead by example. I will get into the 16's this season.
