I started my running career during 9th grade as a soccer player trying to gain more fitness for an upcoming season. Throughout that year and the next, I slowly developed and began to love running even more than soccer which I had been playing my entire life. During the start of my 10th-grade year, I had been having immense success with my running while still playing premier 1 soccer. After an old teammate asked, “What do you enjoy more running or soccer?” I decided to fully commit to running and give up the sport I had been playing my entire life.
I aspire to run at the highest level I can and beat the 1500 meter record my late father still holds at his alma mater, The University of Vermont, with a time of 3:51. I had a rough 11th grade track season dealing with a sickness that ruined my fitness, but after an intense summer, I have started very strong placing 2nd in the cross country opener. I have enjoyed being the captain of my cross country team for the past two years leading them to state finals both seasons.
If you make me an addition to your team I can promise hard work every day and a passion for the sport that will allow me to accomplish anything.
