I am currently a junior year cross country and track and field runner. The sport of running has been a life changing experience for me. Running has taught me the true significance of hard work when it comes to athletics as well as academics. I have a work ethic unmatched by my peers and a passion for both running and learning. Despite the cancellation of my junior track season, I have continued to train so that I can achieve my goals. I ran a couple of times trials and managed to crush my sophomore year times by 24 in the 1600m and 8 seconds in the 800m. While there may not be races for a while, I am still training every day to prepare myself for a great senior cross country season, where my goal is to break the 16 minute 5k barrier and lead my team to a cross country state title. In college I hope to excel as a runner, a student and a person as a whole.
