I have been an athlete since I was five years old, beginning with flag football. I've always been a fast runner and as I continued to play football in the community league and middle school league, I wanted to try running track. In 7th grade, I tried out for the track team at Corporate Landing Middle School. I made the team and with hard work and dedication, I finished my 7th grade year at the City Championships. I was 3rd in the 200 meters in the City Championships. In 8th grade, I also qualified for the City Championships, but unfortunately, I pulled my hamstring and was unable to participate. During my senior year of high school in Ocean Lakes, I ran a PR of 11.22 in the 100-meter dash. I also received a defensive MVP reward of the year during my senior year in football when I was playing as an outside linebacker and cornerback. As of right now, I'm currently a Sophomore at Randolph College (D3) and I'm a STEM student majoring in Computer Science BS. I ran an 11.10 in the 100-meter dash at the Bridge Water College ODAC championship and also ran a 21.90m in the 200-meter dash. I was placed 3rd overall in the men's 200-meter race but was close to being 3rd overall in the men's 4x1 relay when our PR was 42.21. During track season I never missed a single day of practice and I was determined to try and beat my PR at every track meet that I went to. I greatly improved my 200-meter time from 24.04 to 21.90 in almost 5 months of training. I've been studying my form and how to improve myself in order to continuously beat my PR.
