My name is Roman Morrison and I am a track and field athlete. I'm 6 feet 2 inches and 165 pounds. I only started doing track my freshman year of high school but quickly fell in love with it. Before track i was playing football and doing taekwondo, and still am. I have been playing football for 7 years and have been doing taekwondo for 12 years. My best time in the 100m is currently 11.59s, my best jump in long jump is 20 feet 3/4 inch, and my best height in high jump is 6 feet 2 inches. I make sure to enjoy every second of what I'm doing, whether it be training or competing, but at the same time stay focused and dedicated to the sport. My sophomore year I was elected my team's jumpers captain so I posses the qualities necessary to lead a team or set a good example for others. Furthermore, my freshman year I received rookie of the year and my sophomore year I was elected MVP. I am always willing to put in extra work no matter how long, how hard, or how tired I am and I never quit anything. My dream is to continue my sports career into college and one day go pro and I am willing to do whatever it takes to get there.
To go to college anywhere with a scholarship is a blessing, but I would prefer to go to a west coast school in order to stay close to home and I am open to any size or type of school. My athletic goals are to be a positive contribution to the team by bettering myself and the others around me. To do this I will work hard everyday and inspire others to do the same. I plan on being a successful athlete in multiple events and becoming a leader to the team because of my qualities as a person, and skills as an athlete.
