The main thing I want to get out of college is a quality education. I believe that the strength of the programs that a college is the most vital part of a college search. Even though academics come first, athletics are a close second. Throughout my life I have remained involved in sports. Since I was 5, I have played some kind of sport. On my soccer team, I was always one of the most conditioned players on the team. When I was given the opportunity to run distance in middle school track, it was like I was opened up to a new world. I loved the feeling of racing people and passing them because they were too tired to continue on. When high school came around, the current team captain for Mark Morris saw me running around town and asked if I would run for the team so I joined and loved the feeling of constantly improving. I have went from 24 minutes down to 17:41 in the 5k and I have enjoyed every moment of the journey. I think that what really sets me apart is the amount that I do for my school and the workload that I tackle academically. I have been in leadership all 3 years of high school and I have been elected as Sophomore Class Treasurer, Junior Class President, and (for next year) ASB President. I love serving the students at my school and taking away some of the stress that they undergo on a daily basis. On the note of my workload, I am an honors and AP student who has always preformed well in school. I get A's and B's consistently, and I am aiming for a 4.0 this semester. With all of this in mind, I believe that I would be a good candidate for any school and I would be happy to run for you.
