Going from a kid who had a special talent for tripping over air to a high school athlete jumping over hurdles, life sure has a funny way of playing out. I began running for sport at the age of 13, and inevitably fell in love with it. During the autumn, I compete in cross country and I'm proud to say that after two hard years, I was officially put on the varsity team. I'm also involved in a weight training class from the beginning of the school year to the end. In the spring, however is when I feel at my best. Track season is something I've looked forward to every year, since I started it. The rush of adrenaline when the gun goes off, starting the race is what I live for.
If I'm chosen to compete at a collegiate level I will not only strive to give it my all on the track, but also forge amazing relationships with my teammates and coaches. While the feeling of winning is amazing I completely understand that it's not everything. In terms of what makes me different from other recruits, I can't say much. I'm just a kid with hopes, dreams, and a future ahead of me, who is hard working and determined to give 110%. I take an active role in my community, by volunteering and helping out with my high school's student council. If I'm chosen to compete at a collegiate level, I will not make you regret choosing me to be apart of your team.
