I threw a discus for the first time in the fifth grade. I picked up the shot put in eighth grade. I realized that I wanted to throw in college in my first high school season when I found that thrived in the toughest competition.
I train all year to improve my strength, speed, and efficiency in the circle. I pride myself on good technique, which has been achieved by repetition, but also by my coachability. My body awareness allows me to make quick adjustments to any coach suggestions.
At school I also work hard and strive to maintain my 4.0 GPA. I push myself in the classroom and am not afraid to take a hard class.
I would like to attend a college where I can get a quality education to support myself when my track and field career is over but also be on a competitive team and be able to compete individually at the highest level possible.
