Hi my name is Jeffrey Garcia and I am going to tell you a little about my life. Growing up I never really liked sports until 5th grade and didn't get involved in sports until my Junior year of high school. I joined track and never really thought much about it, thought it would be a great way to get out of the house. But as the season went on it really grew on me and I loved it. Within the outdoor season I went from being a newcomer to being the schools best discus thrower. I strive for greatness and make sure I do everything to make me win. One thing that I noticed on the team lots of the kids joined just to socialize, and it made me really upset because all I wanted to do is win. And unfortunately I found that some of the people who screwed around were my friends. I would have to move away from them to make sure that I achieve my goals. I am extremely competitive in whatever I do even if I'm new at something. I also realized with track, I must do good in school. And I must work my butt of in school in order to do track this year. I have improved a lot since last year, athletically and academically. I plan on doing great things this year and know I will achieve my goals.
