The Mission

    The Runner

           I am teaching myself to love the process, not just the product. Injuries and missed seasons have taught me that nothing is promised, and as a result I am growing a love for the process and what I can control. The early mornings, and the late nights. The fast workouts in the heat, and the easy shakeout runs in the cold. I still look to win the prize, but have my eyes focused on what is directly in front of me. Anything that I am given I see as an opportunity and work myself to the best version that I can be.

 The Student

          I have never been naturally talented at school, but I have always been excited about learning. During 9th and 10th grade the road got rocky and I lost touch with the part of myself that seeks knowledge. Around this time, I found the beautiful outlet of distance running, and the reignition of the drive to strive for academic excellence and scholarly achievement. Rather than give up on holding standards for myself, because of my grades in the past, I offer my transcript as a testament to my work ethic; A dynamic journey that shows drastic improvement and that anything is possible.
