Hello, I'm Cooper Barrus. I live in beautiful SoCal and love playing indoor volleyball as well as beach volleyball. I'm the oldest of 4 kids in my family and I've been told by my parents, coaches, and friends that I am a silent leader. I'm steady, poised, and can be counted on in times of need on and off the court as well as academically. I am a young man of integrity and work incredibly hard in my on and off-season training. I love being challenged and always am looking to improve my skills and game. I like to see hard work pay off. I have been awarded the most improved player, MVP, and Coaches award throughout my seasons at Thousand Oaks High School which has been a great honor for me. I'm focused on learning and growing academically, physically, and in the game. As a varsity athlete this year, I was selected to the second team All Marmonte League as a setter. As team captain this year, I led my team to the CIF Division 3 playoffs and was honored to make the 2024 single match stat stars list for this division with 53 assists in a singe match which was the 6th highest in the region. Max Preps has me ranked in the top 234 Nationally for 1 stat, top 69 in California for 1 stat, and top 16 in Southern Section for 1 stat. I'd love to follow in my Dad's footsteps and play collegiate volleyball.
