Maicen Long '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Maicen Long, and I am an upcoming 11th grader with a 3.6 GPA. I participate in indoor track as well as men's volleyball. Before high school, I wasn't the same kid. I used to think that I could always stick to being the class clown or goofing off with friends and show no hard work, passion, or determination, and everything would be handed to me. When I got to high school, my mindset began to change because I realized that deep down, I had goals to complete. I couldn't do that unless I changed who I was for the best. I knew that I wanted to make a positive impact within my environment before I go to college to do the same wherever this takes place. I believe that wherever I go, I will keep this positive energy because I believe everyone deserves happiness, and most of all, everyone deserves a second chance.
