Adrian Rant '25 Recruiting Profile

I am Sophomore Outside Hitter at Lake Park High School in Roselle, Illinois. I first fell in love with volleyball during my seventh grade season at Medinah Middle School. Unfortunately I was not able to continue to play my eighth grade year because of Covid 19. However my freshman year of high school I committed 100 percent to volleyball and joined Pipeline Volleyball Club. During my freshman season I was placed on 15-black. This was a excellent season for me and it retaught me the basics of the game and advanced me to the next level. Furthermore during my freshman season at Lake Park I was placed on the Freshman A team and I was one of the starting outside hitters the entire season. This was the season that really made me look into  playing at the collegiate level. After a successful Freshman year I once again played Pipeline during the fall and winter of my Sophomore year. I was Placed on 16-Royal. Even though this season unfortunately did not contain any big wins I really enjoyed it and I think that I grew and developed as a leader among my peers. Currently I am the starting Outside Hitter for Lake Parks JV Boys volleyball team and I am looking forward to what this season will bring. I am also very excited to further improve and develop my skillset. Outside of volleyball I have been competing in Taekwondo For almost 12 years now. Before I committed fully to volleyball I was on my Taekwondo schools National Travel Team and I competed all over the country. I have competed at dozens of high level tournaments and I have become very decorated in the sport. I was also a State Champion in my weight class for 3 years. Even though I am very heavily involved in sports this has not stopped me from also being successful in my Academics. I have taken the highest level classes available to me since my Freshman year. And I plan on continuing to do that for the rest of Highschool. My academics have become a priority to me and they have helped me to grow into an intelligent person. In conclusion I am very excited to begin my recruitment journey and I look forward to Improving my skillset and my understanding of the game.
