Personal Statement

Hi. I am a junior in high school excited to find the right place to play volleyball in college. I have been playing competitively since 6th grade but, being Latvian, grew up around the sport. I really got hooked when I watched Loyola beat Stanford in the 2014 national championship. It was a great atmosphere and I strive to become a champion as well.

I am passionate about volleyball and am a multiple time USAV NTDP invitee/participant, where I loved getting coached up by college coaches as well as meeting other players from around the country. I also started for the Great Lakes USAV HP Youth team at the All-Star Championships in Tulsa. I play club at MOD Volleyball, where I am on the 17 Blue team and have started on varsity since freshman year at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, IL. I am a hard worker, try to be a great teammate and love to compete.

I look forward to exploring education and athletic opportunities at the next level and beyond!
