Personal Statement
Hi Coaches! I'd just like to say that I hope things are going well for you and I'm extremely grateful you're taking the time to read this. In return I think we'd both appreciate it if I got straight to the point and told you why I think I'd be a great fit for the next level.
I've been playing volleyball for just over 4 years now, but I've been an athlete in sports such as football and basketball for as long as I can remember. During my time as a volleyball athlete I've managed to find success in ways I never dreamed such as winning countless mini tournaments held around London; placing top 8 in the country at nationals twice; and winning the first ever "Junior All Nations" tournament held in London with a team of players I'd only met on the day (was an U18 competition and I played starting setter) to name a few.
Although I may not be my team captain, I pride myself upon being a player my coach can trust and rely. I also believe myself to very adaptable since, although my main position is setter, I've been able to fill in for other positions such as: middle, outside and opposite.
I sincerely love volleyball and find myself practicing wherever and whenever I can. I also love meeting new people and interacting with others, as anyone in my club can say that I'm very sociable (to the point where it doesn't even shock them anymore when I arrive at a competition and befriend all the other players before the day ends). To be able to meet new people and play with them at the highest collegiate level possible for me would be a dream come true; I am also open to any kind of school as long as I get to play competitive volleyball and crush opponents.
Thank you very much for reading, I'm excited for what the future holds. Happy recruiting!
