Jermaine Miles '13 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing for 4 years; I have been a part of
the England set up for 3 years. I am 195cm and weigh around 85kg; I can also
run 100m in 12.1 seconds. One of my most recent and most important
accomplishments was winning UK school games (England south) this year I return
as captain.

I am a very loud person on court I try to encourage my team mates to
go for everything. 'Nothing hits the floor' is one of the quotes that I play
by. I will always try my best in anything I do; I have been captain of my u15s
team all the way through to u18s. I am not captain of the England squad but
that can only be seen as a benefit because it then means I am always there to
boost people up on court or off court if the captain is not.

Recently we played at the u19s Europeans and I got best Spiker with 48 kills
and 50 points in 3 matches.

I would like to go to school somewhere down south preferably and I don’t see
myself playing for anything lower than a division 1 team but if the offer is
there I will consider. It is definitely my dream to play in the NCAA for a
division 1 team because one of my older friends YASSIR SLITI played for long
beach and I would like to follow his footsteps, he is now part of the Great Britain
Olympic squad.

Realistically I could see myself going pro for a top team in Europe. My goals
while at college in America would be to play as a freshman on one of the best
teams and to be a solid part of their team that can lead if needed.

My main strength is BLOCKING and my SPEED especially on the back row!
