Hello, I am Philip McClure. I have been playing club volleyball since I was 14. I have always been a middle blocker because I am the tallest on the team and can jump very high. I started playing at a camp and was hooked! Volleyball has been my passion ever since. I play at every open gym, I never miss a practice and try to be early to get more reps in. My parents started coming 30 minutes after practice was done because I never wanted to leave. I watch as much volleyball as I can to study footwork, rotations, patterns, serves, and anything I can learn and try to bring into my game.
I want to play collegiately because I have so much more volleyball in me than being done at 18. I have not decided yet on what major I want to study. My initial thoughts are education, graphic design, or architecture. I am really looking for something where I can use my God given strengths of kindliness and creativity.
I am very easy going, I get along with pretty much anyone, make new friends easily, and I’m very outgoing. I am high energy on and off the court, I am a leader on the court with a very positive attitude even in difficult game situations.
I am excited to work on the next chapter of my volleyball career!
