My name is Erwann Towa-Fotso, and I am a Junior at Wellesley High School in Wellesley Massachusetts. This year I am playing my second season of club at SLAM, and my second year at my high school. I am currently playing for my clubs U-18 1 team. In addition to volleyball, I play soccer, and I used to play basketball.
I started playing volleyball two years ago just to try it out; I immediately loved it. I had been playing basketball for 6 years and soccer for a little more than 5 and still I had never been as passionate about another sport. My Freshman season I played for our JVB team which was appropriate given it was my first time playing volleyball. After our season, I was avidly searching for volleyball opportunities and was excited to play my first club season at MGA. After I made the team I was excited and ready to work super hard to improve my skills. This year because of the pandemic my old club didn’t offer the boys program so I found SLAM and they took me in and helped foster more growth. My passion for the game is great so my work rate just follows. I will gladly work as hard as I need to, in order to become elite. Because I am dedicated to reaching my full potential, I am very coachable. I take everything my coaches say to heart and work to implement their feedback to improve my game.
In addition to athletics, I plan to pursue my education beyond high school and major in business in college. I love learning about many different subjects whatever they may be. My high school is very great and has helped me learn a lot, but I hope to attend a great academic college so that I can learn as much as possible in the field of business, pharmacy, chemistry, political science, or potentially other fields. I am very strong in Math among other subjects, and I aspire to manage a company someday.
I have deep passion for the game of volleyball and I hope to continue my volleyball career in college. I appreciate your consideration.
